_Pathfinders A2.pdf

Our exciting Pathfinders project, launched in summer 2025, aims to support the very small minority of young people at Chipping Campden School who are unable to access the school’s mainstream curriculum.

The Pathfinder’s project is embryonic and below are the aims of the project in Year 1 and Year 2:

Aims of PATHFINDERS are…

Year 1

  • To re-engage our year 11 students with a pathway to college/post 16 and avoid being not in education, employment or training (NEET).
  • To provide a support network for Pathfinder families.
  • To provide intensive support to any other student who may be at ‘risk’ of suspension or exclusion.
  • To embed a bespoke curriculum consisting of functional skills, Maths and English complimented by a range of vocational opportunities.

Year 2

  • To offer students 12-week intensive support to re-engage with mainstream education.
  • To offer Pathfinder places to other educational settings.

The Pathfinder’s project has begun and below is a testimonial from one of the students, written in July 2025.

….  I found it great working with just Miss Stanier alone and having a nice conversation and feeling welcomed by both of you again. I’ve been enjoying it and it’s something I can finally look forward to my future from now on other than worrying so much. I really do appreciate it a lot so thank you to you both and enjoy your weekend. I’ll see you Monday – thank you -“
