This term our ministry has made significant progress towards making our school a leader in sustainability. In March, we hosted Green Day to raise awareness of the actions individuals can take to reduce their carbon footprints, helping to combat global warming. As part of the event, we held a non-uniform day, which raised significant funds for the development of our well-being garden – a project that is now underway. This space aims to support social sustainability in the school by providing students with a safe, calming area to connect with nature, whilst acting as an outdoor teaching space. Currently, we are working on addressing school food waste – an issue which has been raised by our student body – which offers benefits for both the environment and school community.
