Keeping Students Safe at Chipping Campden School

Logos

We believe that one of the key roles of our school is to provide a caring, positive, safe and stimulating environment which promotes the social, physical and moral development of every individual child in our care, so that they grow up secure, confident and independent. It is clear, therefore, that the health, safety and well-being of all the children in our care are of paramount importance. Our students have the right to protection, regardless of age, gender, race, culture or disability.

We recognise that all staff members have a full and active part to play in protecting our students from harm. The first point of contact for anyone who has a concern about the safety and well-being of a student is the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL).

The DSL at the school is the Vice Principal: Pastoral, Mr Daniel Clarkson. In his absence the Safeguarding Team will act as his deputies.

The Safeguarding Leads are:

Mr Daniel Clarkson
Mrs Laura Dodgson-Hatto
Mrs Lisa Bennett
Mr Chris Skinner
Mrs Philippa Hayward

Year 8

Ms Fiona Lovibond
Mrs Clare Cox
Mrs Suzanne Young

At Chipping Campden Schoool Mrs Sara Chandler, is the Governor Safeguarding Lead.

All concerns regarding child protection issues in the school should be referred to Mr Clarkson in the first instance and she will inform the safeguarding leads. This responsibility extends to every member of our community and it is of vital importance that all concerns are reported in confidence without delay to Mr Clarkson and the Safeguarding leads.

Further information and advice can be obtained from the Gloucestershire Safeguarding Children Board or from our own school website.
